Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE to celebrate! Whether cheering on client wins or preparing for the next holiday, I find so much joy in celebration. Easter is no exception - and yes, as a believer, I do mean ALL of Easter - our family celebrates the resurrection of Jesus.
We also celebrate this time along with family traditions of Easter baskets, an Easter egg hunt and a family dinner — this is part of what I want to share with you today!
Everyone loves a good core workout, right? Even better, one you can complete in as little as 5 minutes. I’m all about efficiency these days, and this quick workout gets the job done.
I really recognized the importance of core strength after having kids, as I talked about in my Workout Like A Mother blog post. I will spare you all the details again, but I had to take some major time to really focus on core strength.
What better way to celebrate spring than with a pretty, pink protein smoothie!? It’s time to get out of the humdrum winter, and bring on the FIERCE COLOR!
If you happened to catch my last live facebook video, I talked about how I absolutely love the Organic Dragon Fruit frozen fruit mix from Costco. It’s not often you find a fresh exotic fruit like dragon fruit at your regular grocer… or at least not here in Utah.
I don’t know about you, but fast, quick, and easy (and healthy, of course) are qualities I like in a good snack.
In my humble opinion, if you like peanut butter, you can’t go wrong with peanut butter protein balls! You have the peanut butter goodness that will crush even the biggest peanut butter pie fan’s cravings (and I do believe I could claim this title). Add a healthy boost of protein this deliciousness and you’ll be on your way to healthy snacking in hurry.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve been trying to add (hide) all types of different greens (kale, peas, and even broccoli… what was I thinking!?) in smoothies for a while now…and hands-down, spinach is my go-to due to it’s awesome nutrition AND it’s “hideability.”
Back in my wrestling days, there were two pieces of equipment I relied on daily while I was cutting weight. I will list these in order of least level of endearment: the Stairmaster aka the stair-stepper-to-hell and the Airdyne aka the-bike-to-nowhere.
This boy and his momma LOVE us some smoothies — not only do I love smoothies, I really look forward to spending this time with my oldest son (Big E). It’s almost like ‘our thing’ where we get to laugh, we joke, and we get to work together to create something that is both delicious AND healthy!
If you’re a military spouse, or you and/or your partner have a job that keeps you spending more time on the road (or sky) than home, this app may be a good way to help you connect.
To say the least, these past few years have really changed our family dynamic. In the past 5 years, we will have moved 4 times, we have welcomed two amazing kiddos, we purchased our first house, currently getting ready to sell our first house, made some major career transitions, and have survived so many extended “work trips” or TDYs.
Check it out!! I am so excited to share this resource with you! As a military spouse, one common struggle I hear and can 100% relate to is having, keeping, maintaining a career, a resume….and sometimes, an identity.
I wanted to share some awesome information from a website I value greatly, one in which I feel may be underutilized as a resource for military members and their families. It wasn’t until about 2 years ago I learned about Military OneSource.
There is SO much incredible and useful information on this site. I will admit, it can be somewhat overwhelming to sift through if you’re not looking for something particular, so I thought I would share one of my favorite resources.
For those of you who are like me, these crafty intentions don’t always pan out; this usually means my seemingly easy ‘bright ideas’ turn into multiple-hour affairs… this time was no different, but not because I bit off more than I could chew…or drink…
